Divine Body Art

Girls the world over are catching on to this amazing way to add a little sparkle, a new accessory or just some funky tribal artwork to their bodies in increasing numbers and it’s no surprise why, with the likes of all the big name celebs in on the act, coupled with the power of Instagram showcasing the many ways girls like to display their metallic tattoos, this divine luxe-for-less look is easy to apply, can be worn on most parts of the body and will have everyone wanting to get in on the act!

You only have to search Google to see there are many brands of temporary tattoos available on the market, but the original brand responsible for launching the metallic tattoo craze, and who we owe a huge round of applause, is Flash Tattoos, based in Austin, TX. Flash Tattoos showcases a wide range of styles from bohemian, bridal, festival, colourful and sexy! It’s a hard choice to make because they’re all so much fun and simply stunning, but the beautiful thing is, because they’re all affordably priced you can purchase more than one and they ship worldwide, so no one misses out.

They’re incredibly easy to apply and all you need is some water and a sponge. Ensure your skin is clean and dry then cut out which tattoo you want to apply from the sheet and peel off the plastic and position the tattoo face down onto your skin.  Take a wet sponge and hold it against the paper for about 30 seconds, you start to feel the paper loosen, which means the tattoo is adhering to your skin.  Peel the paper aside and gently pat with the wet sponge.  Voila!

Flash Tattoos advises that to get the best out of your metallic tattoo, allow them to set for about 30 minutes to ensure the adhesive has time to bond, and when the time comes that you reluctantly have to remove it, simply soak your skin in baby oil, olive oil or coconut oil for one minute then gently scrub off.

If you’re stuck for a little inspiration on how to style yours, check out Flash Tattoos Instagram account or search #MetallicTattoo on Instagram.
